His death was confirmed by family sources, who stated that Dozie died after a brief illness. Born on 9 April 1939, Dozie was raised in a Catholic home, with his father, Charles Dozie, serving as a catechist. He pursued his early education at Our Lady’s School Emekuku, Holy Ghost Juniorate Seminary, and Holy Ghost College, Owerri, where he successfully obtained his West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

Seeking higher education abroad, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the prestigious London School of Economics. His academic journey continued as he furthered his studies in Operational Research and Industrial Engineering, eventually obtaining a Master’s degree in Administrative Science from City University in London.

Pascal Dozie played a crucial role in Nigeria’s banking and telecommunications industries. He founded Diamond Bank, which later merged with Access Bank, and served as the chairman of MTN Nigeria, overseeing its significant expansion. His contributions to the country’s economic growth earned him widespread respect and recognition in the business community.

He is survived by his wife, Chinyere, and five children. As we reflect on his remarkable life, details regarding funeral arrangements are yet to be announced, leaving many in the business world mourning the loss of a true pioneer.
