In a concerning incident, personnel from the Australian Defence Force (ADF), deployed to assist emergency services in responding to the aftermath of the ex-cyclone, have been injured in a vehicle crash in northern NSW.
Two vehicles were traveling on Tregele Road, south of Lismore, this evening when one vehicle rolled over, leading to a collision with the second vehicle.
Among the 36 injured personnel, eight individuals are in serious condition, with two people trapped inside the vehicles.

Emergency services are currently at the scene, and Lismore Hospital has been placed on red alert to accommodate incoming casualties.
NSW Premier Chris Minns expressed his deep concern regarding the incident.
“I am very concerned to hear reports of an accident involving Australian Defence Force personnel tonight,” he stated.
“They arrived in the Northern Rivers area to help ensure the safety of this community.”
The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister have issued a joint statement addressing the “very serious incident”.
“Earlier today, a serious vehicle incident occurred involving two Australian Defence Force vehicles near Lismore,” the statement noted.
“A number of ADF personnel have sustained injuries, some of which are serious. Medical assistance is readily available. It is important to note that this is an ongoing situation.
“At this moment, our primary concern is the welfare of those involved and their families.
“Our ADF heroes were en route to assist Australians in need.”
