Letters written by convicted murderer Chris Watts from prison have surfaced, revealing his attempts to blame the women in his life for his heinous actions, including the 2018 murders of his pregnant wife and two daughters.
According to DailyMail, which obtained these letters, Watts addresses God while depicting women as the primary cause of his downfall.
In one of the letters, Watts specifically mentions his mistress, Nichol Kessinger, stating, “I was misled; I was tempted by a harlot. I was weak, and I allowed myself to be fooled by an evil woman. She led me from the path of righteousness. I know that you will deal with her someday.”
He continues, “She will be judged. You know my heart, Lord. I am a man after your heart; I seek your face. I allowed her to sway me.”
Kessinger has previously claimed that she believed Chris Watts was in the process of divorcing his wife. She reached out to authorities in 2018 when she learned that Shannan Watts and her two daughters, Bella Marie and Celeste Cathryn “CeCe” Watts, had disappeared from their home in Colorado.
Watts goes on to refer to other unnamed women as “harlots,” “Jezebels,” and “whores,” further deflecting responsibility for his actions, as reported by NewsNation.
He also placed blame on his wife, Shannan, describing her as “domineering and self-absorbed.”
Currently, Watts is serving multiple life sentences without the possibility of parole at Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin. He pleaded guilty in 2018 to the murders of Shannan, 4-year-old Bella, and 3-year-old Celeste, as well as to unlawful termination of a pregnancy.
Autopsy findings revealed that Shannan, who was pregnant at the time, was strangled, while the children were smothered. Their bodies were disposed of at an oil site owned by his former employer.
Despite his convictions, Watts reportedly continues to correspond with women, hoping to find a new partner.
