The Halliday Glasses have joined the smart spectacles trend, boasting advanced “proactive” AI assistance and a near-eye display that projects information directly into the user’s line of sight. According to Halliday, the flagship eyewear is set to launch sometime after CES, with shipping anticipated to begin by the end of Q1 2025. The price will range from $399 to $499, placing it at a premium compared to display-free alternatives like the $299 Meta Ray-Bans and Solos AirGo Vision.
Halliday claims that the “DigiWindow” positioned in the upper-right corner of the frame is the world’s smallest and lightest near-eye display module, capable of conveying information to users regardless of their eyesight quality. The display appears as a 3.5-inch screen, minimally obstructing the user’s view and remaining clearly visible even in bright sunlight.

The glasses’ integrated display works in conjunction with an AI assistant that anticipates user needs by analyzing conversations, answering queries, and providing insights without needing prompts. “For instance, during a meeting, it can proactively answer complex questions, summarize key discussion points, and generate meeting notes afterward,” Halliday elaborated in its announcement.
To utilize the AI features, the glasses must connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Although Halliday has yet to disclose the AI model used or any associated costs, the features include real-time AI translation in up to 40 languages, live navigation assistance, voice-to-text transcription for notes, and synchronized lyrics display while listening to music. Users can also discreetly view and respond to messages, create audio memos, and display notes like a teleprompter.
The near-eye display is compatible with both prescription lenses and without any lenses. The displayed information remains private and can be navigated through voice commands, frame interface controls, or a trackpad ring embedded in the glasses.

Halliday indicates that the glasses weigh 35 grams (approximately 1.2 ounces), offer up to eight hours of battery life, and come in two stylish color options: matte black or tortoiseshell. Further details about the trackpad ring, including its charging method and any potential color or sizing options, have been requested from Halliday.
