Rumors have resurfaced that viral Elon Musk fanboy Adrian Dittmann could be a fictitious online persona created by Musk himself, following new evidence linking the two. Internet investigators are highlighting recent activity from Dittmann’s X account and alleged 4Chan posts, which show unexplained X admin permissions and striking similarities to Musk’s voice and mannerisms.
On Wednesday, a 4chan user identifying as Adrian Dittmann posted a screenshot of a post from Musk that indicates he possesses interface options not available to ordinary users. (4chan operates on an anonymous basis, yet users can adopt unique identifiers for continuity across posts.) The navigation bar at the bottom right of the image showcases options for “switch account,” “bans,” and “admin portal,” alongside a link to view full post engagements, visible only to the post creator.

The posts from the user identified as Adrian Dittmann, made on 4chan’s far-right /pol/ board, have since been removed. Although there is no definitive proof linking the 4Chan poster to the “Dittmann” on X, the screenshot suggests that either Musk himself captured the image or it was manipulated to include these admin permissions.
There is no proof that “Adrian Dittman” on 4chan is necessarily “Adrian Dittman” on Twitter (now X). However, the image makes that problem essentially moot. The full image on the 4chan post is deleted now, as are the posts themselves. But an annotated version of the full image is on Reddit (below).
Speculation regarding Musk masquerading as Dittmann intensified after an X Spaces call hosted by right-wing influencer Laura Loomer on December 29th. Following Dittmann’s participation in the call, several users noted that the account’s voice bore an uncanny resemblance to Musk. Observations about their speech patterns have emerged previously, particularly during Dittmann’s prior X Spaces appearances, where he referred to Musk in the first person and even interacted directly with Musk to counter the rumors.
Dittmann’s devoted support of Musk has bolstered theories suggesting he could be Musk himself for over a year. Musk’s daughter has supported these theories on multiple occasions. Although Dittmann has denied being Musk during an appearance on Infowars, the X account, which Taylor Lorenz notes is eligible for X’s monetization program, has leaned into the speculation, rapidly gaining thousands of followers.
The 4Chan posts followed Musk’s recent conflicts with hardline anti-immigration Republicans over H-1B visa policies. This feud resulted in Musk attacking his critics on X, who accused him of demonetizing or suspending them. Dittmann has emerged during this conflict to mediate between factions, with his posts on 4chan providing defenses of Musk’s moderation on X.
Currently, there is no conclusive evidence to validate claims that Musk is behind the Dittmann account on X, which frequently interacts with Musk’s posts and supports his actions. Should Musk not be Dittmann, then there is indeed a real Adrian Dittmann out there, praising Musk for being an “amazing father” who enjoys “lots of sex.”
