In our review, we highlighted the Vision Pro’s display as a technical marvel. It features advanced hand and eye tracking, representing a significant leap forward; however, the controls can be inconsistent. Users have remarked that Apple’s Personas virtual avatars might be “uncanny and somewhat terrifying.”

The headset is powered by two Apple Silicon chips (M2 Ultra and R1) and can operate for up to two hours with a tethered battery pack or indefinitely when plugged in. It incorporates “natural control” through hand and eye tracking, as well as voice commands. Users can seamlessly switch between AR and VR using a digital crown-style dial, and the headset displays the user’s eyes on the front so others can see that they are engaged.
