Authorities in Alabama have been conducting extensive searches for a missing toddler, Kahleb Collins, who is presumed dead after his disappearance in September.
According to reports from WABM, police have established a significant presence at Kahleb Collins’ home in Glen Allen. This ongoing search comes weeks after a tragic car crash in Fayette County on December 8, which resulted in the deaths of Collins’ father and sister, revealing that Collins was not involved in the accident.
The children’s mother, Wendy Bailey, 22, has been charged in connection with her daughter’s death. Despite being the passenger in the vehicle, authorities determined that Bailey was negligent for failing to secure her daughter properly, leading to the fatal incident.

In addition to the charges of negligent homicide, Bailey faces allegations of child abuse for failing to report the abuse that Kahleb Collins suffered at the hands of his father back in July. Investigators noted that on multiple occasions, Bailey witnessed Collins being physically restrained and assaulted.
Further complicating the case, Bailey has also been charged with abusing a corpse, as authorities believe that Kahleb Collins has been deceased for several months. Investigations revealed that his body was hidden in a storage facility before being discarded in an undisclosed location.
In the wake of the tragic events, Kahleb Collins’ grandfather, John Bailey, 50, was arrested for failing to report the boy’s disappearance and is currently held on a $100,000 bond. Wendy Bailey remains in custody as well.
