AI has increasingly become a part of our daily interactions with technology, especially on devices like smartphones and laptops. For instance, while starting this article in Google Docs, I was prompted with AI writing assistance, which I chose to bypass. With the introduction of Apple Intelligence, these AI capabilities are now accessible on iPhones, iPads, and Macs as well.

However, many users are not fully convinced about the benefits of Apple Intelligence. A recent survey revealed that approximately three-quarters of iPhone owners struggle to see the advantages of the new features offered by Apple Intelligence, according to findings. Additionally, it’s important to note that utilizing these AI tools can consume up to 7GB of local storage on each device.

On a positive note, Apple Intelligence features are opt-in and can be disabled quite easily, unlike many other companies’ AI offerings, such as those from Google and Microsoft. If you find features like Writing Tools and notification summaries unnecessary, you can opt to turn them off.
