In light of Vice President JD Vance’s warning regarding Europe potentially engaging in ‘civilizational suicide,’ the continent faces scrutiny for its inadequate response to mass migration from primarily Third World nations. This situation has been correlated with a significant increase in violent crime and a deteriorating economy.

Freedom of speech is increasingly under threat, with widespread complaints about a dual justice system. Compounding these issues, Europe’s economic performance has fallen short of expectations.

The U.K. has experienced stagnant economic growth over the past three years, with per capita income remaining unchanged. “The country has pathetic performance,” states Ben Habib, chairman of the Great British Political Action Committee and former co-deputy leader of Reform UK. “The U.K. has become even worse than Europe.”

Migration has emerged as a pivotal national issue, with immigration figures rising to between 1.2 and 1.3 million in 2022 and 2023, up from approximately 800,000 pre-pandemic. This surge is creating societal tensions.

Conservative Party Member of Parliament Robert Jenrick highlighted, “National togetherness is now being torn to shreds as unprecedented levels of mass migration transform parts of our country beyond recognition. We have imported ethnic and religious tensions, meaning that conflicts occurring globally are now manifesting on Britain’s streets.”

Recently, the State Department announced it was monitoring the trial of a woman in Britain charged for holding a sign offering counseling to women outside an abortion facility. Fox News Digital reported that the woman expressed, “Great Britain is supposed to be a free country, yet I’ve been dragged through court merely for offering consensual conversation… peaceful expression is a fundamental right—no one should be criminalized for harmless offers to converse.”

Violent assaults have marred various regions in the U.K., especially when compared to other members of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Scotland has the highest rate, with 1,487 assaults per 100,000 people, according to data from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. England and Wales follow closely, ranking third with 730 violent assaults per 100,000 residents.

Fox News Digital previously reported that Britain is facing a free speech crisis attributed to the new left-leaning government, aggressive policing, and judicial actions against freedom of expression. Last August, the government cautioned citizens to be cautious about posting potentially offensive content, threatening imprisonment for violations. The Crown Prosecution Service also warned on social media, stating, “Think before you post!”

France’s economy has shown growth in the past four years, although the rate has significantly slowed. The country also grapples with high debt levels that impede rapid economic growth, according to Venetis.

Migration remains a persistent challenge in France, with 317,000 immigrants from outside the EU arriving in 2022, an increase from 222,000 in 2013.

Right-wing politicians, particularly those from the National Rally, are emphasizing the tensions arising from the influx of individuals resistant to integrating into French society. National Rally leader Marine Le Pen, a leading candidate for the 2027 presidential election, recently received a two-year prison sentence for embezzling public funds, describing it as a ‘death sentence’ to her political ambitions.

Violent crime rates in France are moderate, with 310 cases per 100,000 people.

Germany has been in recession for the past two years, with the unemployment rate rising to 6.3% in March from 5.9% last April. This rise is attributed to soaring energy costs and competition from China.

“People are unhappy about the increasing unemployment,” remarks Konstantinos Venetis, economist at TS Lombard. He adds that the statistics conceal a growing number of workers facing reduced hours. “The number of individuals in this situation has increased significantly.”

TRUMP CELEBRATES CONSERVATIVE PARTY WIN IN GERMANY

Migration surged to 1.6 million non-EU immigrants in 2022, up from less than half a million in 2021. Germany’s right-wing populist AfD party has advocated for the deportation of asylum-seeking migrants, gaining substantial voter support during February’s national election, where it secured second place with 20.7% of the votes. The winning conservative Christian Democrats party was compelled to adopt stricter immigration policies due to the AfD’s electoral success.

The country reported a relatively high incidence of violent assaults, ranking sixth in the OECD with 630 cases per 100,000 individuals.

The third-largest economy in the EU has consistently grown since the pandemic’s conclusion, although growth rates are slowing. Simultaneously, the debt level as a percentage of GDP fell to 135% last year, down from 138% in 2022 when Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni took office.

Meloni’s tough stance on illegal immigration has been credited with reducing migrant numbers significantly. In 2024, the total number of migrants dropped to 67,317, almost 60% lower than the previous year’s 157,651, partially due to an agreement with Albania to strengthen border controls and create legal immigration pathways.

Italy reported low violent assault rates at 110 per 100,000 residents.

EUROPE’S BEST KEPT SECRET: POLAND, THE REGION’S ECONOMIC TIGER

Poland’s economy expanded by 2.9% last year, slightly surpassing the estimated 2.8% growth in the U.S., while simultaneously bolstering its defense sector and accommodating an influx of Ukrainian refugees due to the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict. “Poland is a powerhouse and has national pride,” Habib asserts. “It’s a phenomenal country.”

The country also has a low level of asylum requests, with 9,513 and 17,038 in 2023 and 2024, respectively, compared to 237,314 in neighboring Germany.

Asylum claims in Poland are expected to remain low as Prime Minister Donald Tusk has intensified efforts against illegal immigration. Recently, he temporarily suspended the rights of immigrants to claim asylum.

“It is essential to enhance the security of our borders and ensure the safety of Polish citizens,” stated President Andrzej Duda, who endorsed this legislative move, as reported by Euro News.

HUNGARY SAYS IT IS WITHDRAWING FROM INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT AS ISRAELI PM NETANYAHU VISITS COUNTRY

Poland recorded the lowest violent assault rate on the OECD list, with just two cases per 100,000.

Hungary’s economy faced challenges in 2023 but is now on the mend, with a growth rate of 0.4% in the last quarter of the previous year. Analysts at Trading Economics predict a growth of 2.7% for the next year and 3.6% by 2027.

Migration from outside Europe has remained low, with 57,000 in 2022 and 45,000 in 2023. Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban recently remarked: “Don’t be afraid to stand alone. When 26 others accepted mass migration, we built a fence and said no. Now, more and more prime ministers are acknowledging that we were right ten years ago.”

Violent assaults in Hungary have also been low, with 124 cases per 100,000 people.
