Megyn Kelly is increasingly finding it challenging to support Blake Lively as new developments emerge in the ongoing lawsuits surrounding her and Justin Baldoni’s film, “It Ends With Us.”
In a recent episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the host focused on behind-the-scenes footage from the production of “It Ends With Us” that was released by Baldoni and his legal team on Tuesday. This 10-minute footage captures Lively and Baldoni during a romantic scene mentioned in Lively’s initial complaint. The video showcases their playful interactions off-camera, as they discuss the scene being filmed, which was intended to be silent.
Baldoni released this footage, arguing that it contradicts Lively’s claims of unwanted sexual advances. In response, Lively’s team labeled the footage as a “manufactured media stunt” that entirely supports what Lively detailed in her complaint.
“This matter is in active litigation in federal court,” Lively’s statement emphasized. “Releasing this video to the media, rather than presenting it as evidence in court, is yet another unethical effort to sway public opinion.”
Despite this, Kelly believes the footage does not align with Lively’s portrayal of events in her lawsuit.
On her podcast Thursday, Kelly mentioned that Lively is attempting to impose a gag order on Baldoni to prevent him from sharing more information about the case. She asserted that if Lively were truthful, there would be no need for such measures.

Kelly remarked, “Now that she’s had her chance to speak out against him, and she has significantly harmed him with that New York Times piece linked to her complaint, which she managed to leak, she now seeks a complete gag order. This is incredibly unfair to Blake. Why should Justin be able to release excerpts to the media without full context? That’s what she claimed. That’s her narrative.”
She added, “I’m just saying this individual is not being honest. My belief in her has diminished significantly. I fully disbelieve her now, and they should not be silenced. I am willing to help in releasing any future information that may come out because the truth needs to be known. What does she have to fear if she is indeed telling the truth?”
The video released on Wednesday marks another chapter in the protracted legal battles between the “It Ends With Us” colleagues. Baldoni has already initiated a lawsuit against the New York Times for $250 million, citing defamation, and has filed another lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds, claiming that the Nicepool character in “Deadpool & Wolverine” was created to mock him.
Lively has accused Baldoni of performing unscripted physical intimacy without prior agreement or choreography and of coercing her into an unexpected nude scene.
