NSW Police are intensifying their investigation into a group of youths accused of violently attacking staff members at a caravan park on the NSW Central Coast. The incident has raised significant concerns about safety in family-friendly holiday areas.

Approximately 30 children reportedly gained unauthorized access to the pool area at Budgewoi Holiday Park on Sunday. When staff members requested that they leave, the situation escalated into violence.

The confrontation turned physical, with the youths allegedly kicking and punching staff in groups of three or four, even targeting those who were on the ground. This alarming behavior has prompted community outrage.

The disturbing incident was captured on video, prompting bystanders to intervene and disperse the group.

NSW Police Superintendent Chad Gillies stated that the youths involved will either face arrest and charges or be processed under the Youth Offenders Act. “We have identified several young individuals that we wish to interview as part of our ongoing investigation,” Gillies remarked.

He condemned the violence, saying, “It was a violent attack, it’s unacceptable—especially in a holiday area where families come to enjoy themselves. I cannot tolerate such behavior.”

Staff members at the holiday park expressed their frustrations and fears, with some contemplating resigning from their positions due to the frequency of such incidents, noting that similar occurrences take place weekly.
