Robert Lewandowski has once again found himself at the center of transfer speculation, as his agent confirmed the Barcelona striker has made a definitive choice regarding his future. This decision holds significant implications not only for Lewandowski himself but also for two other strikers, Viktor Gyokeres and Erling Haaland, whom the club has been closely monitoring.
Reports indicate that clubs from Saudi Arabia are eager to lure Lewandowski away from Barcelona. However, his agent Pini Zahavi has dismissed any notions of an impending transfer, stating, “Talking about offers from the Saudi League is not true, we have not received any official offer and no Saudi club has contacted us regarding the player.” This statement was quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
Last summer, the Saudi Pro League attempted to sign Lewandowski, but he ultimately remained in Catalonia. This season, he has proven his worth to Barcelona, netting an impressive 34 goals across all competitions and reaffirming his commitment to the club.
Zahavi also confirmed that the 36-year-old star will continue with the Blaugrana next season, without any doubts. He stated, “Lewandowski is happy at Barcelona and will remain with the team next season 100 percent. We have a contract with the club and we respect it until its end.”

Lewandowski’s current contract is set to run until 2026, featuring an automatic extension clause that has already been activated. Barcelona is now considering an extension of his deal until 2027, with an option for a mutual exit in 2026 if necessary, according to Spanish media.
Implications for Barcelona’s Transfer Plans
With Lewandowski committed to staying at Barcelona, the club’s pursuit of a new striker takes a different turn. Throughout the season, names such as Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon and Erling Haaland from Manchester City have been frequently discussed as potential successors. However, as reported by Sport, the Catalans have decided against pursuing either player this summer.

Barcelona had been evaluating the appropriate time to replace Lewandowski, but Hansi Flick and sporting director Deco now believe that the team already possesses enough attacking firepower for the upcoming season. With Ferran Torres proving effective as a backup striker and Dani Olmo showing promise as a false nine, the club has opted to prioritize reinforcements in other positions.
