A shooting incident occurred on Friday at a pub in Toronto, Canada, leaving a dozen individuals injured as law enforcement continues to pursue the suspect.

Toronto Police arrived on the scene around 10:40 p.m. to investigate the shooting near Progress Avenue and Corporate Drive in eastern Toronto, close to Scarborough Town Centre.

According to Toronto Fire Services and reported by CBC, there were indications of gunfire and an active shooting taking place inside the pub.

The twelve victims were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Authorities indicated that while four victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the severity of the injuries for the remaining eight remains uncertain.

Police have reported that the suspect was seen wearing a black balaclava mask and driving away in a silver vehicle, as per CBC reports.

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow expressed her deep concern on X regarding the reports of the shooting incident at the Scarborough pub.

She mentioned that she had a conversation with Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw, who assured her that “all necessary resources have been deployed” to handle the situation.
