The third season of “The White Lotus” has concluded, but this week, “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) created its own hilarious episode inspired by the show, titled “The White POTUS.”
In this memorable sketch, we see James Austin Johnson portraying Trump, stepping into the role of Timothy Ratliff, played by Jason Isaacs, who is evidently having an existential crisis. As Melania, voiced with a viral North Carolina accent by Parker Posey, calls out to him, Trump decides to numb his pain in a rather unconventional way. While Timothy Ratliff opted for lorazepam, Trump chooses a chicken nugget instead.
The Ratliff family is also included in this comedic portrayal. Saxon Ratliff, originally played by Patrick Schwarzenegger, is reimagined as Trump Jr., while Eric Trump is represented by Alex Moffat’s character. In a surprising twist, Scarlett Johansson makes a cameo as Ivanka, taking over the role of Piper Ratliff (played by Sarah Catherine Hook) in this SNL version.
During breakfast, Melania expresses her concerns, saying, “Can you imagine how awful it would be if America lost all its money?” Trump, once again staring blankly into space amidst his crisis, hears her remarks.
“You would never let our economy go to pieces, right hon?” she asks, making a pointed reference to Trump’s tariffs.
Additionally, other characters from the White Lotus hotel make appearances. Host Jon Hamm portrays RFK Jr., filling in for Walton Goggins’ Rick, while Sarah Sherman takes on the role of Aimee Lou Wood’s Chelsea, complete with fake teeth and an accent.
Musical guest Lizzo also joins in, playing Natasha Rothwell’s character and expressing her disbelief at only having $5 million in her bank account, exclaiming, “It was 20 million last week!” in frustration.
Beck Bennett makes a cameo as Vladimir Putin, attempting to talk Trump down from his dire thoughts of murder-suicide; but don’t worry, he’s sporting a “KING” shirt this time instead of a Duke one.
