Recent pictures shared on social media showcase the facelifted Tesla Model Y “Juniper” refresh, which abandons the original Model 3 headlight style in favor of a modern front lightbar design reminiscent of the Chevy Equinox EV. According to InsideEVs, the Instagram car spy account Cochespias1 and X user DominicBRNKMN shared spy shots of the updated Model Y navigating snowy terrains.
Although the images are slightly blurry, they also reveal a new rear design featuring a Cybertruck-like lightbar similar to a design seen in a July leak.

Reuters first reported Tesla’s efforts on the Model Y redesign in early 2023, following sightings of a purported mule with the front and rear camouflaged components. The Model Y remains one of the best-selling vehicles globally and is notable as the last Tesla model equipped with stalks for gear changes and turn signal activation.
Having been largely unchanged since its 2020 launch, aside from a center console update, the Model Y is due for a significant makeover. Tesla’s latest redesign, the Model 3 “Highland,” made its US debut last year, predominantly altering the front and rear aesthetics while enhancing noise reduction and ride comfort.
While the launch date for the new Model Y remains uncertain, previous reports indicate that Tesla is preparing to produce a redesigned six-seater Model Y in China for late 2025.
