A tragic incident occurred at a popular beach on Bribie Island in Queensland, where a 17-year-old girl was attacked and killed by a shark.
Emergency services were alerted to Woorim Beach, located about 70 kilometers north of Brisbane, at 4:45 PM.
Reports indicate the girl sustained a bite on her arm approximately 100 meters off the shore.

Despite the attempts of paramedics, the girl could not be saved. The beach was crowded at the time of the attack, and many witnesses may have seen the tragic event unfold.
Emergency crews remain on the scene to assist.
