“The View” has concluded the first quarter of 2025 with impressive ratings, as revealed exclusively by TheWrap.
The popular ABC talk show averaged 2.62 million viewers during the first quarter, marking a 4% increase from the 2.51 million viewers it attracted during the same quarter last year, according to Nielsen. This achievement signifies the seventh consecutive quarter that “The View” has expanded its total viewing audience compared to the previous year. Notably, the show also averaged 157,000 viewers among women aged 18-49, reflecting an 11% increase from the previous year.
In comparison to last quarter, “The View” experienced growth in viewership among key female demographics, with women 18-49 increasing by 3% from 152,000 viewers last quarter. Additionally, viewership among women aged 25-54 grew slightly by 2%, reaching 216,000 viewers this quarter.
With an average household rating of 1.77, “The View” ended the first quarter as the leading program among daytime network talk shows and news, both in ratings and total viewers. The show outperformed NBC’s “Today Third Hour,” which averaged a 1.28 rating and 1.97 million viewers, as well as “Today With Jenna & Friends,” with a 0.86 rating and 1.33 million viewers, and “NBC News Daily,” which averaged a 0.82 rating and 1.25 million viewers.
“The View” also surpassed “The Faulkner Focus” in several key demographics this quarter, where Harris Faulkner attracted 2.39 million total viewers, 91,000 viewers among women 18-49, and 127,000 viewers among women 25-54; although “The Faulkner Focus” led in total viewers in January.
Most recently, during the week of March 24, “The View” was ranked as the No. 1 most-watched daytime network talk show and news program, achieving an average of 2.4 million viewers and a 1.62 rating in households. This week also saw the show averaging 183,000 viewers among women aged 25-54 and 145,000 viewers among women 18-49.
During this week, “The View” exceeded both total viewers and ratings for NBC’s “Today Third Hour,” which garnered 1.75 million viewers and averaged a 1.13 rating, “Today With Jenna & Friends,” averaging 1.26 million viewers with a 0.80 rating, and “NBC News Daily,” which attracted 1.1 million viewers and scored a 0.70 rating.
For the season, “The View” is averaging 2.6 million viewers, representing a 5% increase from the previous year, alongside a 1.77 rating, maintaining its position as the No. 1 show among all daytime talk shows and news programs for the fifth consecutive season.
