WWE’s highly anticipated “Saturday Night’s Main Event” is set to air live on both NBC and Peacock.
This exciting pro wrestling spectacle will take place at the Yuengling Center in Tampa Bay, Florida, on May 24. Fans can tune in to watch the event broadcast simultaneously on NBC and Peacock.
As part of his WWE retirement tour, John Cena is making a significant return to “Saturday Night’s Main Event” for the first time in over a decade. Cena shocked fans with a heel turn by joining forces with The Rock against Cody Rhodes before the WWE Undisputed Championship Match at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. He aims to surpass Ric Flair’s legendary record of 16 World Titles and capture his 17th as part of his farewell tour.
“Saturday Night’s Main Event” represents the third quarterly primetime special airing on NBC and Peacock, part of WWE’s five-year domestic media rights partnership. This deal was initiated with “Smackdown” premiering on the USA Network last September.
Additionally, other exciting WWE events streaming live on Peacock include WrestleMania 41, scheduled for April 19 and 20, airing from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
While WWE enjoys its partnership with NBC, “Monday Night Raw” transitioned to Netflix at the beginning of 2025, experiencing notable success since its January debut.
The inaugural episode of WWE “RAW” on Netflix garnered 4.9 million global views in live plus one day ratings, marking a strong start for the pro wrestling league’s shift to streaming.
The first match of the year averaged 2.6 million households in the U.S., according to VideoAmp, representing a remarkable 116% increase from the average U.S. audience for “RAW” in 2024 (1.2 million households). This inaugural match also recorded higher viewership than any Monday night “RAW” broadcast over the past five years and doubled its audience in the 18-to-46 demographic compared to 2024.
